Have you heard Matisyahu?  I don't like reggae but this rappin' rabbi keeps my attention.  His lyrics are right on and inspirational, infused with Godly connection.  The music will keep you groovin and the message will make you think.  Check it out.  He is not a rabbi.  He is a Hacidic Jew.

 

 

 

CHECK OUT SOME OF THE BOOKS I HAVE READ THIS YEAR THAT I LIKE:

 

My friend just gave me a copy of his first book "The 12th Planet."  When she explained his books to me, at first, I thought she was a bit wacky.  After all, the premise is that man derived from aliens from another planet.  Anytime you mention "aliens from another planet," the resulting response is "you've lost it." 

 

But, I've always found myself very interested in History and religion.  Mr. Sitchin has researched ancient Sumerian and Egyptian texts as well as the Bible to derive a new interpretation of these ancient documents.  And I find it fascinating.

 

If it is not true, it definitely makes you think.  I like to think.  Don't you?  My friend and I are reading it together to discuss it.  It is great!  Check it out.  He has a whole fascinating series of books.

I listened to the audio book.  I found it intreguing.  Again it is a new interpretation on old documents... in this case old pictures, legendary pictures painted by Da Vinci.  The tale takes the listener across Europe, through Egypt and beyond as they connect the dots between the mystery of the Holy Grail and it's true meaning.  Check out the link below to see an excerpt from the book and more about the author.

This book by legendary author Ayn Rand is beautifully written.  Again I listened to the audio book.  The book asks the question "Who is John Galt?"  Listen to find the surprising answer.
